Date of Passing: Dec 26, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ELLEN-CLARK CLARK (nee SILVESTER) November 20, 1931 - December 26, 2011 Mary our loving little sister and aunt received her wings and left us after a very short illness, to join her loving husband Don whom she missed very much. Mary was the fourth and only daughter of Henry and Ellen Silvester. She grew up in Winnipeg under the footsteps of three older brothers. In her younger years, she was involved in Brownies, Girl Guides, and CGIT. She also loved to sing in the church choir. Leaving school at grade 10 to go off to work to help support her mom and dad, she worked for Systems Business Forms where she retired as a supervisor after 30 years. Mary met Donald and they courted for many years before being married; July 16, 1966. They shared many years after retirement going back and forth to Texas and Manitoba with her brother Jim and Gwen, and when their home was destroyed by fire the two spent the next few months living with them. After losing her dad in 1968, Mary shared the responsibility of taking care of her mom. Mary and Don moved her mom in with them in their new home, until her passing in 1976. From there she and Don purchased a cabin in Belair, Manitoba and spent many of wonderful summers out there with family and friends. After Don's passing in 1999, Mary still continued to spend her summers at the cabin, which she loved. Mary had the support of a dear friend Gerry Dybish to help her out over the years after Don's passing. Mary was predeceased by her husband Don, her Dad and Mom, her sisters-in-law; Gwen, Eleanor and Mildred and nephews Brian and Sydney. She is survived by her brothers; Harry (Metchosen, BC), James (Mill Bay, BC) and Thomas (Winnipeg) as well as many nieces and nephews. Always keeping an Angel by our sides, for our little sister it is you Mary, you will be greatly missed by your brothers.

Aunty Mary was always in my life from the time I was born. My favourite memories are of her watching over my brothers and I when my mom and dad went out for the eve. I also loved sleeping over at Granny and Grand dads place and sleeping up in Aunt Marys room with her. She was a stong influnce in my life growing up. I will miss her greatly. Always keeping an angel by our sides and it is you Aunty Mary. Give mom and uncle Don a BIG hug from us all. You will always be in our hearts forever. oxox - Posted by: Joey n Brenda (niece) on: Jan 05, 2012

We will miss chatting with and waving to Mary as we pass her cottage. We will also miss her beautiful flowers that she was so proud of. - Posted by: Derrene and Al Kozminski (Friend/Neighbour in Belair) on: Jan 05, 2012
