EVA WATSON Eva passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Park Manor Care Home with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Hazel Watson (Doug Kelly), Alan (Barb), Janet Mathewson (David), John and Mike (Michelle). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Christopher and Angela Kelly, Carla and Ashley Watson, Stephanie and Eleanor Mathewson, and Travis, Braiden and Paetyn Watson. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Ernest, in 1998. Mum was born on June 30, 1925, in Stockton on Tees in England. She arrived in Winnipeg in 1952, and together with Ernest they settled in St. James where she lived and raised the family until moving to Park Manor. Mum will be remembered for her generous laughter, warm heart and caring spirit. She enjoyed making Sunday family dinners a wonderful time for her children and grandchildren to get together. Mum was a talented baker with everyone looking forward to sampling her pastries and dainties. In her limited spare time raising five children, she also enjoyed reading, needlepoint and knitting. According with Mum's wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be interned with her husband at a later date. The family will be gathering for a private service of remembrance at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home on January 13, 2011. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Alzheimer's Society at www.alzheimer.mb.ca. The family would like to thank the staff at Park Manor for their care and kindness. The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop on what day or what hour. Now is the only time you have, so live it with a will.
