VIENNA GUZZI (SPADA) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt on January 8, 2012. Vienna leaves to mourn her loving sons Tony (Lina) and Frank (Rosanna); daughters Costanza, Maria (Frank); grandchildren Venessa (Tony), Michael (Ashleigh), Alessia, Michael, Pasquale (Eleanora), Michele, Luigi (Anna Maria), Pina (Santino) and Emilio; great-grandchildren Luca, Marco, Siena, Alessa, Alessio, Sara, Domenico, Felice and Maria. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces in Winnipeg, Italy and Argentina; sister Rosarina (Santo) and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in Italy. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Giuseppe and her loving husband Mario whom she adored and was married to for 41 years. She is also predeceased by her parents Maria and Francesco and sisters and brothers-in law Felice (Francesco), Angela, Maria (Antonio). Vienna was born in Amato, Italy on December 16, 1925. She came to Canada with her husband and children in November 1966. The family settled in Winnipeg where she devoted her life to raising her children and also welcomed her nephews into her home when they first settled in Winnipeg. Vienna was a very giving and warm hearted woman, always making sure to provide for her family. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had many friends whom she enjoyed spending time with. Mamma and nonna will always be remembered and never forgotten for her devotion and love for us. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with Father Sam Argenziano presiding. Resterai sempre nei nostri cuori.
