CECIL BERNARD MCLEOD We are saddened to announce the passing of Cecil Bernard McLeod on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 66 years. He was predeceased by his parents, David Ledovic McLeod and Madeline Richard McLeod Lavallee; his brother William (Chiboy) McLeod; and son James Leclaire. Cecil leaves to mourn his partner Mary Lou and her children, Samantha, Sabrina, Kingsley, Mervin, and Edward Dumas; his daughter Mona Lisa McLeod (Tess), son Shawn (Kristin) McLeod; grandchildren, Jonathan, and Isaiah; and great-grandchildren Raina and Faith. He is also survived by his brothers, Allan, (Verna), and Stanley Joe ; sister Sophie, and Sharon (Peter-Paul); as well as numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews, family and friends. He was born February 27, 1945 in Winnipegosis. Cecil lived in Camperville until he was 18 and moved to Golden, BC working at a pulp mill, moving back to Manitoba to work for Manitoba Hydro. For the last 32 years of his working career he was in Thompson at INCO as a miner. For the past eight years he lived in Winnipeg and really enjoyed the city and all it had to offer. Cecil was very outgoing and enjoyed the outdoors. He liked driving his customers around gaining many friends. His favourite pastime was going to the casino to meet his many friends and gamble. He had a good sense of humour and was very straightforward. Cecil will be missed greatly by everyone who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecil's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Pallbearers will be Calvin McKay, Harlen Chartrand, Samantha Dumas, Shawn McLeod, Randy Pomozibida, and David McLeod. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Guiboshe, Henry Willson, George McKay, Fred Flett, Tom Flett, and Michael Thomas Prayers will be on Thursday, January 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, in Camperville, MB with interment to follow. 586-8044
