I remember Mrs. Hamade fondly. She was a close friend with my mother, Mrs. Kurushima. She was often at our house when I was young. I remember my mother having long conversations with Mrs. Hamade on the telephone. She always had a smile on her face. She made delicious manju!! I remember Mrs. Hamade as a woman with incredible energy. She was also an an amazing cook and generous in sharing her Japanese recipes with extended family. I often make some of her recipes and when I am complimented give the credit to Jason's grandmother. She will be missed by all of her loving family. - Posted by: Anne Cathcart (Sandi Hamade's sister) on: Jan 14, 2012
