Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARBANS DEVI KAPOOR (MATAJI) October 27, 1916 - January 12, 2012 It is with very heavy hearts and great sadness, but with loving memories that we announce the peaceful passing of our most cherished mother, Mataji, a loving spirit, at the age of 95 years. She was surrounded by the love and prayers of her children, grandchildren, and friends. Her unflinching faith in God sustained her to the last day of her life. Mataji was predeceased by her dear husband Dr. Krishan Chand Kapoor, M.B.E. and her dear son Shanti Kapoor Q.C. Our Mataji and Bawji raised four sons, Shanti Sarup, Balmukand, Satpal, amd Omprakash, and four daughters, Sheila, Lila, Shakuntala, and Savitri. They were at all times proud of their children and their daughters-in-law Prema, Sharan, Swarsha, and Niloo and their sons-in-law, Sat Handa, Pran Khanna, Viri Shankardass and Raj Vohora. Mataji and Bawji loved their family unconditionally and left us with a lasting legacy of values of commitment to family and acceptance of others, hard work, honesty, laughter, love, affection towards all, and above all, faith in the Almighty. Mataji and Bawji's memory will be forever lovingly kept alive and cherished by all of their children and family through these values. Although our loving Mataji has now gone from admidst us, she will always be alive in our hearts. May the Almighty grant her soul eternal peace. Funeral services will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Shanti Path (Prayer) to be announced. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their loving care, kindness, and great deal of affection towards Mataji.
