STEVE SADOWY February 23, 1938 - December 28, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Steve on December 28, 2011 at Concordia Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne in November 2011, brother Wally, mother Barbara and father Leon. He is survived by his son Chad (Juli), sister Jenny (Brad), brother Mike (Alba), twin brother Bill (Vicki), and a number of nieces and nephews. Steve was born in Winnipeg February 23, 1938. He spent a lot of his time as a child tinkering with anything mechanical. His desire to build and fix things carried all through life. He could often be found fixing lawnmowers and snow blowers in his garage or workshop. He and his bother Bill also passed many hours together painting houses. Although always working hard on something he often found time to get out and have some fun. Cutting a rug was a favourite weekend pastime. It was also what brought Steve and Yvonne together. They were often found at the German club dancing the night away. His outstanding career at Motor Coach Industries spanned 42 years. He held many positions over the years including Pattern Maker, Supervisor, Process Engineering, and in R and D. He loved the people and years spent at M.C.I. Even after retirement he would still inquire about the people and the business. Steve very much enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Hillside Beach. He could also be seen perusing items at garage sales, then buying an item because You can't make it for that! . After a long day he could be found watching wrestling, hockey, baseball or curling to relax. Steve was very proud of his family and all that he and Yvonne accomplished. He is now with his loving wife. Goodbye dear Father, Brother and Uncle. Rest in peace Thank you to the excellent care givers of N1S at Concordia Hospital for making Steve comfortable during his stay. In accordance with Steve's wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made, if desired, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Steve's memory.
