WENDY ANN BUECHLER (nee LOGAN) November 9, 1954 - December 4, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Wendy Buechler announces her sudden passing on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the age of 57. Left behind to forever cherish their memories of Wendy are her husband Glen, daughter Cari-Lynn, son Wayne, his wife Kathy and their two children Rebecca and Owen. Wendy is also survived by one brother, four sisters and many nieces and nephews in Ontario. Born and raised in Fort Frances, Wendy lived there until her adventurous spirit ignited and she left to travel the country. It wasn't until she finally established herself in Winnipeg that she met Glen, who would be her soul mate and partner. Wendy also discovered her life's work; nursing. Naturally empathetic with a good-natured spirit, Wendy was born to offer care and comfort to others. Ultimately though, Wendy's true calling was as a mother and later as a grandmother. Wendy will always be remembered for the love she showered on her children and more recently her grandchildren. A private memorial was held for Wendy in Winnipeg on Friday, December 9.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Dear Uncle Glen: I dd not get to see you much in my life due to Dad being in the air force and moving away. Mom & Dad are both gone - dad about 15 yrs/mom about 5. Miss them so much. I'm sorry I do not remember Wendy but I am sorry to hear of your loss. Even though it's been years for you, it's just today I learned of this. Just a little update if you ever get to read this: My son Colin who is almost 39, is now a jet fighter pilot for Canada. Colin always wanted to continue on where his Grampa Larry left off and dad knew he was going to be a pilot before he passed. Actually now Colin is a Lieutenant-Colonel based out of Ottawa just this summer. Dad would have been so very proud! Hope you are well these days and will get to read this message. Your niece Sherry :) XOX love to all - Posted by: Sherry Marks (nee Charlene (Sherry) Theresa Buechler (Glen is my uncle ! My dad was his brother Lawrence Howard (Larry) Buechler) on: Sep 28, 2015

  • I heard of the death through Cari my long term penpal, to say I was shocked to hear of this sad news was an understatement. I know this 4 months on, but the family need love and support just as much. - Posted by: Janine Gillespie (Friend of Cari's) on: Apr 18, 2012
