Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN GRUMPELT June 30, 1923 - January 11, 2012 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John Grumpelt. John entered into rest at his residence on January 11, 2012 at the age of 88 years. John was born on June 30, 1923 in Germany to Oskar and Martha Grumpelt. He moved to Canada in 1952 where he married Manuela Block. They lived in Winnipeg and he worked at Bristol Aerospace as an Electrical Engineer. In 1962 they moved to Plumas where he lived and farmed and enjoyed country life until the time of his passing. John is predeceased by his loving wife Manuela and two brothers Martin and Gerhardt of Germany. Left to mourn his passing are his four sons Bernie (Susan) of Wetaskin, AB, granddaughter Aynsley (Matt) and great-grandchildren Michelle and Payge, and grandson Brady; Ron (Cyndy) of Morden, MB, and granddaughter Paige, and grandson Braden; Ed (Barb) of Gladstone, MB, and grandson Tyler; Garry of Plumas, MB, and granddaughter Jalene (Jared) and great-grandson Daylen and great-granddaughter Brandyce, and grandson Josh (Lynette). Memorial service will be held January 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Clarke's Funeral Chapel, Gladstone, MB. Interment will follow in the Plumas Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in John's name to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. Clarke's Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements. www.clarkesfuneralhome.com
