I first met Elsie when I was married to her nephew Robert Corbeil. I am sad to learn of her passing. She was a very nice lady. I had not seen her for many years. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Linda (Corbeil) Pelletier (Aunt) on: May 09, 2012

I was sorry to hear of Elsie's passing. It was only through talking with my Aunt Georgina last evening that I was informed of her passing away in January. I had known Elsie and her sister Lois through my Aunt Georgina. During the past five years on my many trips through Winnipeg on my way to visit my Aunt. I would make a point of visiting Elsie at her apartment with a cup of Tim Hortons in hand. We would catch up on news from all sides and I would relay messages to my Aunt who was a long time co-conspirator with Elsie in their younger years. - Posted by: Patricia Le Barron (Friend) on: Feb 14, 2012

Elsie was one of the most remarkable women I have ever had the privilege to know. It was so easy to forget that Elsie could not see, as nothing much missed her. One time, Elsie and I were on our way to visit Lois, and I got lost. Elsie however, was not lost. She asked me to find a street sign, and when I did, she promptly told me where to go. Which one of us was blind? We will miss her. - Posted by: Sheila Dumore (Friend) on: Jan 23, 2012

First met Elsie in the summer of 1998 while care-taking for the Brunswick Apts. that was very much home to Elsie..She was so amazing in how she new every inch of that building and was always there to lend a hand for Don and I when needed. Elsie and I became great friends. She was a lady of great character non judgmental, friendly and always willing to listen to anyone who may be trouble or down. Elsie may have been blind but she never failed to see the goodness in people and life. I thank her for being in my life and and showing me how to appreciate the goodness around me.
