PAUL GOBEIL Our dear father passed away peacefully on December 29, 2011 at the Villa Youville Personal Care Home in Ste. Anne, MB, at the age of 102. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his children, Georges (Bibiane), Peter (Adèle), Alice (Terry), Louise (Jim), Anne (Bert), Denise (James), Victor, Cecile; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Mary, daughter-in-law Irene, son-in-law Arnold, parents Joseph and Denise Gobeil, five sisters and nine brothers. Mom and Dad lived on a small farm in South Junction for 63 years. Their home was a very welcoming place for family and friends. Dad loved to sing and play the violin. He was quite ingenious, repairing just about everything. We will also remember him for his gentleness and his quick wit. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Villa Youville; Sr. Irene Rioux and Sr. Marguerite Forest for the unending support, love and prayers, and Dr. Demoissac for his compassionate care. Funeral service will be held January 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, South Junction, MB. Internment of ashes in the parish cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow the funeral service in the church hall. Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel.
