MERCEDES LOUISE STEEDS (nee GEORGE) Alzheimer's took everything from Mom except the love of her family. Left to cherish her memory are Virginia (Lorne), Ken (Trish) and Ron (Angela). She will also be missed by long time friend Carol, nephew Jim (Susan) and niece Sally (Don). She was predeceased by her parents Dr. James Polson and Annabel George, sisters Inas Helen and Virginia, and brother-in-law Ted. She endured the loss of the love of her life, Kenneth and their first three babies, Deborah Ann, Christopher and Greg. Mom lived for her family, especially her adored grandchildren Corey (Whitney) Ryan, Christian, Colton, Julian, Garrett and Gabriel. She and Dad were devoted to each other and to us. Her magnificent home-cooked feasts filled our hearts. She was an avid reader who liked to garden and do various crafts. She loved the many pets that shared our happy home. Our family is eternally grateful to the staff of CD4 and Riverview for giving her the home we could not. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Riverview Health Centre or a charity of your choice is appreciated. Funeral Service 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Funeral Home and Crematorium 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca
