He is survived by his wife Judy, of 23 years; son Larry (Barb); grandsons Jakob and Michael; stepdaughter Tara (Carl) Janeczko; grandson Bailey and granddaughter Tori. Peter also leaves to mourn his sister Nellie (Adam) Chicheluk of Rossburn; as well as numerous extended family. He spent many hours in his garage making various railings, trailers, candleholders and anything else his family and friends would request. Peter enjoyed the outdoors, from hunting, fishing and camping, to just relaxing on his deck. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Honorary pallbearers are Adrian Verheul, Bob Kubic, Stan Domich and Walter Ruta. I am Peter's nephew's (Bob Barry) daughter Caitlin Barry. I remember I was at a social and Great Uncle Peter called me over and gave me a toonie for being a good girl, he played the magic trick and pulled it from behind my ear and surprised me with it. He made me laugh, I will miss his happiness and beautiful smile. - Posted by: Caitlin Barry (Great Niece) on: Feb 09, 2012

Judy and Family: Wishing you our sincere sympathy in the loss of your husband, friend, father, brother, uncle and an acquaintence to many. There are many fond memories of Peter and yourself spending time in the Oakburn and Shoal Lake area enjoying camping, visiting friends and hunting with "the younger crowd". He enjoyed helping others when they were in need and we thank you for being there for our family in our time of need. Please always know that we are here for you and your family. God Bless and with all our love, Teenie and Doreen Yanick - Posted by: Teenie Yanick and Doreen Yanick (Family friends) on: Jan 20, 2012

When I was married to Bob Barry, Peter's nephew, we visited with Peter and his family and it was always very enjoyable. Peter made me feel very comfortable and I appreciated his hospitality. My condolences go out to the family. My daughters Megan and Justine thought of Uncle Peter fondly and he will be missed. - Posted by: Karen McLachlan (past family member) on: Jan 20, 2012
