Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTEEN ARDEN Our Mother passed away on January 19, 2012 at Riverview Health Centre with family at her side. Mom is lovingly remembered and will be forever missed by her children; Lorne (Molly), Jack (Bev), and Charleen; grandchildren Ryan, Janelle, Heather, Ashley and Karyn; great- grandchildren Marilyn, Wesley and Mary Lynn; honorary daughter Georgina Peiluck and faithful companion Donna; brother-in-law Fred Wickenden, and sister-in-law, Mary Pawlychka and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was born in Chatfield, MB and married Fred, with whom she shared her love and her life in Fisher Branch, Winnipeg and Gimli until his death in 1965. Mom lived in Gimli until she moved to Winnipeg in 2000. Christeen was predeceased by her husband, Fred, son in law Paul, parents, Katherine and Stanley and 11 brothers and sisters: Nellie, John, Annie, Mary, Tillie, Kay, Mike, Lily, Jean, George and Eva. Mom loved her children unconditionally and devoted her life to them and enjoyed cooking and baking and often hosted large family dinners. Throughout her life she constantly inspired her children and friends. Mom's love, commitment to family, hard work, courage, honesty, strength, and hope never faltered. She never complained or indulged in self-pity. Mom is a Lady known for her sharp wit and a great sense of humour. Christeen was a member of Fisher Branch Women's Institute, Chatfield Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also known for opening her dining room to the homeless and those in need of a meal while operating the Gimli Hotel Café. Mom never turned anyone away. In accordance with Mom's wishes, Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will take place in Gimli in June. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christeen's memory to the Alzheimer's Society. Rest, Mother Rest. We love and miss you very much. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715

To Chrissee's family....our parents & your parents were good friends for many years starting in Fisher Branch, I believe. I loved Chrissee. She was so sweet.
