MARY (MAY) AGNES GRAY Peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, May passed away in the care and comfort of Salvation Army Golden West Centennial Lodge in Winnipeg. May was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband Frank (2003), of 47 years, her parents Henrietta and James Dillon, and two of her brothers Thomas and James Dillon. She is survived by one sister, Emma Brown, one brother, Harry Dillon, and many nieces and nephews all residing in Northern Ireland. She also leaves behind many dear friends, especially in Kiwanis Courts, both the staff and residence. May was born May 5, 1919 in Northern Ireland and came to Canada as a young girl in 1949. When she made this move she came as a Nursing Sister and within three days of being in Winnipeg, she had a Nursing position. May was a nurse at Health Sciences Centre, Grace Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre. While working at Deer Lodge she met and then married Frank, the love of her life. Before retiring, May set up and was Manager of the wheelchair service program for the Society for Crippled Children and Adults. In this position she traveled much of Manitoba especially into Northern Manitoba. Although May was only in Golden West a short time, we wish to thank all the staff for the wonderful care and love they gave her. In respect of May's wishes cremation has taken place. No service will be held and her interment will be with Frank. If friends so desire donations may be made in May's memory to The Salvation Army or charity of your choice. We have lost someone with a heart of gold Who was more to us than wealth untold Without farewell she fell asleep With only memories for us to keep We have lost, but God has gained One of the best the world contained Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
