Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDBERG RAYMAR JOHNSON January 28, 1935 - January 17, 2012 Surrounded by the love of his family Lindberg slipped peacefully away at home after a year long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Shirley and their daughters Brendice (Ross), Colleen (Peter), Kathi (Rick), Jodi (Myles) and Michelle (Ed), and was Afi to Jackie, Brendon, Ashleigh, Sean, Casey, Jill Dustyn, Sydney, Erica and Noah and Great-Afi to Jessica, Charlee, Madeline and Flynn. He is survived by his brother Ron (Barb) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Berger and Sigga, brothers Lalli, Emil, and sisters Olina and Gusta. Lindberg was raised on the family ranch in Reykjavik, MB. Besides ranching he loved baseball, curling and watching any sports live or on TV. He was a great baseball player and was well known in the baseball community and played in tournaments both in Canada and the USA, his latest team being St. James Ichabod's. After retiring from ranching Lindberg worked at Walmart and then later was the caretaker of The Arms of The Cross until he fell ill. He loved being a husband, father and Afi and was never happier than when the kids were coming to visit. A greatly loved man, beloved husband, dad and Afi, a lover of baseball and a hardworking rancher. A heartache no one can heal, a memory no one can steal. Special thanks to Palliative Care workers Christina, Romeo and Warren. As per Lindberg's wishes there will be no formal service. The family would like you to join us in a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lindberg's heartfelt charity Siloam Mission. Goda Nott Elska Min

Uncle Lindberg was a much loved man. He was very dear to me. I have fond memories of visiting with him at the farm with Amma and Afi when I was a little girl and later on watching him play ball with my Papa. My deepest sympathy to Aunty Sherle and the family. Rest in peace Uncle Lindberg. XXOO - Posted by: Teena Brunel (great neice) on: Jan 21, 2012
