GAVIN BENJAMIN February 7, 1964 January 21, 1982 In loving memory of our cherished Son, Brother and Uncle who left us suddenly thirty years ago. Little did we know that morning, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. Forever in our hearts, Mom, Dan, Colleen, Charlene and Heather

  • Charlene, I believe that LSS stands for Laura Secord School in Winnipeg. Gavin never went there as far as I can remember. It was Machray, St. Johns, and EHS. And thank you again everyone for the kind words. :) - Posted by: Heather (Sister) on: Jan 27, 2012

  • Hard to realize it has been 30 years. That is a lovely poem. Remembering those days still hurt. Our thoughts are with all the family. - Posted by: Eunice & Harry (Aunt & Uncle) on: Jan 26, 2012

  • Greg...thank you for the kind words about my brother. Can you please let me know what LSS stands for? Also...what is your last name as I don't recall many Greg's in school. Thanks, Charlene - Posted by: Charlene (Sister) on: Jan 25, 2012

  • You are missed and thought of often. - Posted by: Barb (Cousin) on: Jan 23, 2012

  • Went to school with Gavin @ LSS & EHS. We weren't close by no means but when we did come in contact he always talked about what he wanted to do after high school and always spoke highly of his family. An untimely passing for schoolmates & I can remember seeing the twins at school after his passing...it was sad to see them hurting! To the family, The tribute in the paper was outstanding...Take care! - Posted by: Greg (Schoolmate) on: Jan 23, 2012
