Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I considered BJ one of my closest friends. He stood next to me on stage for almost all of my musical appearances for a decade and a half. I will always miss his talent, his sense of humour and his loyalty. I am glad his suffering has finally come to an end and I look forward to meeting again on the other side. - Posted by: Don Bouchat (Friend) on: Jan 31, 2012

  • B.J. is a presence which will never be lost. The impact he has had on all of us, is testament to who he is. I am a better person for knowing him. About one week before he passed, he called me to his room, he wanted to play a song for me...it was hava na gila. I will always remember that. - Posted by: Miryam () on: Jan 30, 2012

  • So sorry to hear about Bobby-Jay. Bobby-Jays dad was my cousin and we had a lot of good times when the boys were younger and lived close to us in Cumberland B.C. The memories I have and will never forget was going back to Alberta for Bob and Judy`s 50th wedding anniversary and listening to Bobby-Jays music and what a talent this man had and I feel so lucky to have a chance to enjoy his music and his awesome personality. My thoughts are with the Garrison family - Posted by: Gerry Pederson () on: Jan 28, 2012

  • I got to know B.J. while he was at Riverview. His impromptu concerts in his room or the dining room always drew a crowd. He will never be gone because he lives on in so many hearts. Rest in peace B.J. - Posted by: Crystal Caron () on: Jan 27, 2012

  • BJ did the music for my mother's memorial a few years ago, and never was a sad occasion made to be so much better. BJ made everyone smile. We will miss his friendly presence at The Neighbourhood Cafe. He fought the good fight and never complained. When asked how he was doing, he always said he was just great. Deepest condolences to the family, and especially to Jai. - Posted by: Pamela Johnson (Friend) on: Jan 27, 2012
