Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJESSIE FRANCES KELSEY (nee GALAS) On Saturday, December 24, 2011, Jessie Frances Kelsey (nee Galas) passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and courageous battle with cancer on one of her favourite days of the year - Christmas Eve - at the age of 83. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Gordon, his wife Linda and her grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew (who called her Gma ). Jessie is predeceased by her husband John and daughter Barbara. She is survived by her brothers Brian (Maureen), Larry (Olwyn), Ted, Tony (Iris), sister Isabelle (Diz), sister-in-law Hazel and is predeceased by brother Donald (Don). Jessie will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jessie was a lover of all things Winnipeg (her hometown), cats, gardening, Tai Chi, cooking (especially her famous perogies and cabbage rolls), Elvis and reality television. A service will be held by the family in Winnipeg at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 830 North Drive, on Monday, January 30, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you honour Jessie with a donation in her name to Ryerson University Toronto, Covenant House Toronto, The Salvation Army or The Toronto Humane Society.
