IRENE MARLOWE It is with deepest sorrow I announce the passing of my Mom and best friend, Irene, on January 26, 2012. Irene was predeceased by her parents Mary and Fred Berzish, her loving sister Therese (Tido), loving brother Henry, her nephew Stevie, husband Walter, and her most beloved son Ron. To cherish her memory, her daughter Louisa - best friends forever, son-in-law Marc, her apples of her eye grandsons Ryan and Adam Marlowe, Aimee and great-grandson and her little sunshine Eric, and Renee, her step-granddaughter who was very special to her Gramma. She will also be remembered by her loving niece Donna to whom Mom will always be Auntie Augie, nephew Tommy and family, and Aunt Margaret and family. Mom worked in her early years at Erzingers and Hudson Bay Company where she had many good times and made a lot of wonderful friends. She loved her home and made it welcome to everyone who entered. She was love - her compassion and warmth made everyone family to her. Her arms were always open - she listened and she heard you. In her last few months she fought gallantly, smiled when she should have cried, still managed to crack a few jokes, and always thanked everyone. She was completely unselfish and always held forgiveness in her heart. She made many special friends - her lifelong friend Lorraine, Barbara, Gail, Marcia and Marlene to mention a few. Included is also her dearest friend and adopted daughter Valerie who became a part of the family. A special place for Valerie was in Mom's heart as she has been through all the good and bad times with us, we love you Val. Mom's home was a special place where she made beautiful holidays for all her family and friends - she treasured everyone who came, and they treasured her in return. She loved nature and cared deeply for her little friends outside - all her birds and her special friend Buddy. She took care of all of us and every living thing. She never gave up or gave in. Her strength and determination were unsurpassable. Thanks to all the staff at 2 West Deer Lodge Centre, Dr. Engel, Dr. Murray and Alyssa. Her time at Deer Lodge was special to her. Special thanks to all the staff at the Middlechurch Nursing Home, the compassion, love and friendship was outstanding and appreciated. Mom gave generously to many charities, with a passion for animal charities. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Lessons learned from Mom will never be forgotten; your little girl will love and honour you every day of her life. We will miss you Mom. God Bless You. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Neil Bardal Inc. Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue. Private family interment will take place at a later date. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.

Sorry for you loss Louisa, your mom was a great woman, an even greater mom and the best aunt anyone could ask for. Memories at the cottages at Ponemah and Falcon Lake live on. Her generosity was something to be admired. So long auntie Auggie - Posted by: Patrick () on: Jul 18, 2012
