CLAIRE MARIE NITELET (LEDOYEN)
Born: Sep 23, 1936
Date of Passing: Jan 24, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLAIRE MARIE NITELET (nee LEDOYEN) September 23, 1936 - January 24, 2012 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Claire at the Riverview Health Centre after a brief, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Claire will lovingly be remembered by her husband René, of 56 years, sons Dan, Lawrence (Christine) and grandson Logan, and brother Roland Ledoyen (Jeannie). Claire was predeceased by her parents Léon and Lena Ledoyen. Fond memories will be forever held by many treasured friends from Winnipeg, Otter Falls, Pharr, Texas, and points beyond. Claire worked for Dr. Besant in Windsor Park for 23 years and considered him the best employer a person could have. Many lasting friendships were forged during Claire's time at Dr. Besant's office. Claire was a devoted wife and mother and her family always came first. Claire was always more concerned about others than herself, and she always put the needs of others before her own. Claire expressed her love for family and friends through her gourmet cooking. Even towards the end when Claire had no appetite, and eventually could no longer eat, she still watched all the TV cooking shows for tips and tricks and recipes to pass along. Claire contributed to the cooking column in the Whiteshell Echo for many years from the family cottage at Otter Falls. Claire loved to garden and the cottage grounds were always bursting with colour and life. Claire expressed her love to those around her by passing on plants to them. While wintering in Texas, Claire loved to paint. In true fashion, Claire was always painting for others. Her paintings are all around us and will be a source of comfort and warmth in the future. The family would like to thank all who helped in their time of need, and nurse Olga from the Palliative Care Unit for her care and compassion. In keeping with Claire's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment of her ashes will occur at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Goodbye Goodbye my family, my life has passed I loved you all to the very last Weep not for me, but courage take Love each other for my sake For those you love do not go away They walk beside you every day. Mom, OXOXO
