CARMELLE HEBERT (nee NEVEUX) It is with profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Carmelle Hebért (65 years) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Inuvik General Hospital in Inuvik, NWT. Carmelle was predeceased by her parents Jeanne and Wilfrid Neveux, her siblings: Raymond, Corinne, Diane, Maurice, and brother-in-law Lionel Levesque. She is survived and will be truly missed by her son, Chris Hebért, her beloved partner John (Sandy) Turner, her siblings; Louise Levesque, Simone Lacasse (Edmond), Norbert Neveux (Marie), Edithe Shelby (Gord), Gabrielle Lahaie (Gilbert), and her brothers-in-law: Jacques Audet and Leonard Poirier. Born in St-Pierre-Jolys on September 13, 1946, Carmelle went on to marry Fern Hebért. A few years of travel outside of Manitoba eventually led them back to St-Pierre where they raised their son Chris and she focused on her Bella Pizza business. In 2000, Carmelle's search for new adventures eventually led her to Inuvik, NWT where she met John (Sandy) Turner. No matter where her travels took her, Carmelle left warm and lasting memories with everyone she met along the way. She will always be fondly remembered by her loving family and all her friends. Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place and a small service will be held at the St-Pierre Catholic Church on March 30 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Fund. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.

  • My aunt was very special to all of us. My last visit with her happened to be on her last birthday in September, 2011 and we spent a few hours laughing. She again told me that her son was the greatest gift she had ever received from God and she loved her life. She loved Sandy very much. I'm so glad my last moments with her will stay with me forever as a very heartfelt memory. Her last sentence was "I love you Charm". Can't beat that. You are missed. Love you always & you will never be forgotten by me. - Posted by: Charmaine Bohemier (Niece) on: Mar 01, 2012

  • Knew Carmelle in Inuvik, when she work at the MacKenzie coffee shop and when Sandy started his restaurant on wheels also when she help Sandy with a theater show at the Midnight Sun during our stay and work up there from 2001-2007.
