Good ol' Uncle Len was a gentle guy with that crooked great smile and bright eyes. I remember many times at the lake or steep bank of family fun and his love for music and his family. He always made us kids (Mike, Nicole and I) feel like his own grandchildren when we were around. Love you guys.. Rachelle Heroux - Posted by: Rachelle Heroux (Great Niece) on: Feb 03, 2012

Leonard was well loved and respected. His wonderful character and big heart touched the lives of many. I will always remember us twins staying there as kids, and him and Mabel being so good to us. His memory was so vivid in the stories he told of hunting, flying and friends. My heartfelt sympathy to you all. Eriksdale has lost a wonderful man and my dad has lost a great friend. - Posted by: Melanie Selezinka (family friend) on: Feb 02, 2012

A good man and friend. Memories of adventures; hunting, fishing and aviation. Quiet times hearing Leonard's memories of in the older days. I will miss the old guy. Monty - Posted by: Monty Henrikson (friend) on: Feb 01, 2012

Our deepest sympathy to the family for the loss of your Dad. He was a great Uncle, and will always be remembered for his big smile, his kind words and gentle nature. Many summer vacations were spent with Uncle Len and Aunt Mabel where they treated us just like one of their own children. We are never prepared for the loss of our parents but time will heal your heavy hearts. Your Dad has left you with so many memories to cherish. Those tears will turn to laughter as you reflect upon those happy memories. - Posted by: The Stout Girls Valerie, Deb, Cheryl, Lori. (our Uncle) on: Jan 31, 2012

"Dad Heroux" as I used to call him growing up was such a special human spirit. He always wanted me to feel like part of the family and I will cherish that forever. He liked nothing better than putting a smile on your face with one of his many stories. The more you laughed the better. He was friends will all who crossed his path and that earned him a well deserved respect. It hasn't sunk in that I won't be seeing your physical being again. But your spirit will surround us forever and will continue to guide us. I miss you and love you, so does your buddy Sam. He enjoyed his time with you. Now we can take comfort in our memories for they will be part of us forever. Farewell My Friend! Love Suzy - Posted by: Suzy Sutherland () on: Jan 30, 2012

Uncle Len was the best Uncle anyone could ever have. The keen interest that he had in all of our family will never be forgotten. I loved to visit with him in recent years as he told me of family history from years ago. The phone calls and e-mails I will cherish and miss. His interest and ability in using the computer made it so interesting and easy to keep in closer touch. I feel that because we lost our Dad 25 years ago this year that he tried to fill a void that he knew was there for us and I always appreciated that. He certainly was loved by Brent, Darren and Myself. - Posted by: Brenda Tegelberg (neice) on: Jan 28, 2012

I met Len over email when I was researching our common ancestors and found Len to be very fun to share family history with, and oh the stories he had...like taking over his dad's barber shop after his dad died since customers were still showing up, and how he got the Internet at age 80, and how he was out chopping wood! Len was caring and good-natured and active. I`ll miss our chats. - Posted by: Christa Hughes (cousin) on: Jan 28, 2012
