MARGARET MANDZIUK (nee POHREBNIUK) Margaret passed away peacefully on January 28, 2012 at the age of 68. Left to cherish her memory is her husband John of 46 years, daughters Cindy, Bonnie and Kim. She was predeceased by her parents Anne and Andrew, infant son Thomas, brothers Taras, Johnny and sister Olga. Margaret was born and raised in Rosa, MB. She later moved to Winnipeg and shortly after married and started a family. She worked at the Royal Bank until her illness in 1987. Margaret coped with many health issues for the last 24 years, overcoming whatever curve life dealt her. Despite her illness and disabilities, she still went about her daily activities and was very independent. Her will to live was beyond anyone's expectations and for that we are very grateful. Her happiest moments were spent with her family, friends and grandpets. She was known for her numerous road trips down Plessis Road on her nitrous powered golf cart. Her favourite pastimes were gardening, reading and telling jokes. At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date. A Celebration of her Life will take place at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on February 3, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We wish to thank you Dad. You were by Mom's side through it all, good and bad. We are here for you now and always. Love, your girls.
