Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEV TINNEY Bev passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Beacon Hill Lodge. Bev was born May 17, 1929, the youngest of Myrtle and Vernon Franklin's five children. She was predeceased by her mom and dad, her husband Dick Tinney and her siblings Gordon Franklin, Lloyd Franklin and Kay Bailey. She leaves to mourn her passing, her surviving sister Joyce McPherson, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Bev left school early to go to work during the Second World War. Her lack of education did not hinder her success and she spent many years as a valuable employee of the Bank of Montreal, Eaton's, Canada Safeway and Alliance International retiring at the age of 65. Although she did not have any children, she was very fond of her many nieces and nephews making them a special part of her life. She loved to dance and play cards and enjoyed her times with her friends and relatives. She was a member of the Elmwood Legion and always enjoyed her times there. We would like to thank the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge that cared for her over the past five months. They were all so compassionate and we are grateful for their gentle care. A celebration of Beverley Tinney's life will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Travelodge (main floor), 20 Alpine Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. Arrangements in care of Seasons Funeral Service Oakbank, (204) 444-5444

She was a wonderful woman. She always had such style. Always well coiffed and just the right amount of makeup. She was a woman who always had a kind word for everyone. I remember Aunty Bev as a very attractive and neat lady. She was always dressed to the nine, and she would always call me her little Nanny even after years had gone by.
