Children Kevin (Anne), Ron (Terri), daughter Leslie Later (Cam), grandchildren Kathy, Nick, Noel, Jeffery, Robbie, Andrew, Matt, Steve and Caitlin, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and stepfamily will miss her terribly. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations can be made in her name to Sorrento Centre, 1159 Passchendale Rd., Sorrento, BC V0E 2W0, a special spiritual place for her; or to Holy Family Hospital, Physiotherapy Dept., 7801 Argyle St., Vancouver, BC V5P 3L6. Fran was a friend and neighbor of my late cousin Nan Mc Farlane. When Nan became ill and was under care at the Seastrand, Fran was my go to person there and we became good friends. After Nan's passing we kept in touch and she was always interested in what I had going on. The last time I spoke to her was around Christmas 2011 I think. She was getting ready to move in with her family. I have had a busy couple years since then and have thought of her often and had hoped to speak to her again. I had tried her number but believe it was out of service. Today I thought I should google Fran and see if there was any contact info but have learned of her passing. Although I expected that she may not be with us any longer it was a sad shock to see that indeed she has passed. I thought she was a great lady and would have loved to have seen her once again. It was very nice to read the obituary of her many accomplishments and how many people she touched. Love to you and RIP Fran. xox.
