Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES ROBERT KEENAN October 31, 1935 - February 4, 2012 After a lengthy illness Charles Robert (Bob) Keenan passed away February 4, 2012 in Kelowna, BC. Dad was predeceased by his parents Margerate and Charles, and sisters Jean and Peggy. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, daughters Crystal Parkin (Reg, grandchildren Kristen and Jenna), Caprice Douglas (Chris, grandchildren Lauren and Kaitlyn), Bobbi-Lynn Jones Thompson (Fitzroy, grandchildren Justin and Izaiha), son Craig Keenan (Lisa, grandchildren Nichole and Michael), stepsons Terry and Alan, brothers Alex (Leslie) and Ian, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was born and lived most of his life in Winnipeg before moving to Kelowna after his retirement. Bob joined the Winnipeg Fire Department in 1958 and would be fondly remembered as Canon or Bojangles . He retired in 1998 at the rank of Captain. He was proud of his Scottish heritage, being involved in many local festivals, events and gatherings. He travelled to Scotland and England as well as spending time at his vacation home in Palm Springs before moving to Kelowna. Funeral services were held on February 7 in Kelowna, BC.
