JOHN (JACK) HAYDEN CURRAN Jack Curran of White Rock, BC entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2012, on his 89th birthday. Jack is survived by his daughter Deborah, and granddaughter TR and her husband John. He was born in Biggar, SK in 1923 and moved to Yorktown. He later moved to Thunder Bay where he met his wife Kathleen. Mr. Curran was an asset in the meat packing business and processing industry in Canada. He worked for Swift Canadian and later Burns. He peaked his career with J.M. Schneider's in Winnipeg until his retirement in 1988. He retired to British Columbia to enjoy a milder climate. Kay and Jack continued to love their passion of being together, travelling all over the world, having a green thumb, hosting parties, and keeping a beautiful home. His interests were diverse and he was always active in the community. He always had a great story to tell and was very well read. He was the past president of the Red River Ex in Winnipeg and was active in the Big Brothers and Kiwanis. He was an excellent and involved father and grandfather. He walked both ladies very proudly down the aisle. This past Christmas they once again enjoyed being together again. The memories they shared will be forever in their hearts forever. So, on his 89th birthday he held on to get the best birthday gift. That was to enter into heaven and be together forever with Kathleen. As planned his friends celebrated his life and released balloons to him. Special thanks go to Barbara K. for her kindness to Dad this last year. There will be no service at his request and inurnment at Forest Lawn in Burnaby, BC. May Jack and Kay be together forever just as their gravestone states. Until we meet again Babe...
