CAROLINE (LEE) MCLENNAN Carolina, Caroline, Lee, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma January 01, 1917 - February 06, 2012 A New Year's baby born in Winnipeg to Philipp Schilthelm and Katherine Shumann, Mom lived a full life and passed away shortly after celebrating her 95th birthday with family and friends. Predeceased by her loving husband, George; daughter Audrey; sister Joan; and brothers George and Adam. She leaves behind her daughter Bev (Larry), grandchild Kristen (Stephen), great-grandchildren Jamie and Renae and grandchild Christopher; grandchild Darryl (Pam) great-grandchildren Jesse, Megan, Morgan, and Mackenzie, and grandchild Carol. Mom worked at many iconic Winnipeg businesses including Pauline Chambers (where she met Dad), Gunn's Bakery, Clifford's ladies wear and The Man with the Axe. She grew up in the North End on Boyd, raised her family on Cathedral, later moving to North Kildonan where for the last 30 years she resided in Donwood South. She was a loving mother and grandmother, kind and caring friend and touched many with her quick wit and sense of humour. The family would like to express their thanks to Concordia Hospital, the staff of the Intensive Care unit, and especially the second floor east wing doctors, nurses and staff for their compassionate caring of Mom. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of your choice. The Lord is my shepherd.
