CAROL CARRIE WRIGHT (nee GUZDA) January 1, 1920 - February 13, 2012 Carol Wright passed away peacefully in Calgary on Monday, February 13, 2012. She will be dearly missed by her children: Jim Wright of Oakville, ON, Lynne (Rick Tear) Flanders of Sheridan Lake, BC and David (Monique) Wright of Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Kevin (fiancé Beena) and Darin (Monique Marion) Wright, Kellie-Lynn (James) Shoults, Jason and Christopher Konarski and her great-grandchild Maya Shoults. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Wright in 1980. Carol was born near Meleb, MB on January 1, 1920. She married Alexander Wright in 1940. They settled in Winnipeg in the Norwood area where they raised their children. Carol was a dedicated homemaker who worked part time for Paulin's Chambers for many years. She enjoyed numerous hobbies, especially gardening, quilting and baking. She moved to Calgary in 2002. Carol suffered a stroke in 2008, which was frustrating for her as she was fiercely independent. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard in Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a brief Graveside Service. We would like to thank her physician, Dr Paddy Quail and her care givers, including Deanne Eyres and especially Elma Garcia. If so desired, memorial donations in Carol's memory may be made directly to the Winnipeg Humane Society (45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3).   • I remember Carrie as being a very sweet, kind person. I stayed with her a few days on the family farm when she came home with James and didn't want to stay in the house alone.
