• When you think of red hair, a large frame, friendly smile and gentle eyes first name that comes to mind is Brodie. In the few short years the family was stationed in Ashern Brodie made many friends and was always willing to help out. He would stop by the Detachment and, even though his dad was not there Brodie would just 'hang out'. Thinking back I smile, he would never speak unless I engaged in conversation first. If you happen to be in the Ashern area in the bush and come across a couple of apple trees with an orange tag, stop to remember these trees are living on for Brodie helping to feed the big game that he loved so much.
