DIANE PHYLIS PAUL It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Diane Paul, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 68. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Gustave and Linda Holeman, and her brother Gary Holeman. Diane will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Debbie (Norbert), Linda, Cindy (Terry) and Tanis, her grandchildren, Michael, Daniel (Lacey), Jeremy, David, Megan, Aaron, Chloe and Thomas; her great-grandchildren, Angelina, Hunter and Morgan; her sisters Leona, Florence, Shirley and her brother John, numerous nieces and nephews and many loyal customers and friends. Diane was born on February 20, 1943, in Treherne, Manitoba. She worked at the family business Paul's Greenhouses for over 30 years and always looked forward to going to the market where she had customers that had been coming to see her every year. She was by far the best transplanter around, and it will not be the same without her there. She loved going for rides in the country and to Lockport for Half Moon hotdogs. We spent many Saturdays scouring the city's garage sales. She was a strong person who endured a lot in her battle with cancer. She is now at peace. We will miss you Momma. xxxxxooooo. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, 3E Wing, for their kindness and compassionate care. A celebration of Diane's life will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550

Its been many years since last in contact with the family and was shocked to read of Mrs. Paul’s passing. Mrs. Paul was not just a mom of her girls she was a mom to many of us who she adopted in her heart. She was a special open minded woman who loved and cared about people. Many years I bought my annuals and Christmas trees from her just to go and say hello and catch up. My deepest condolences to her girls and their families. B. Johnston - Posted by: B. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember all the years of working at the greenhouses and getting rides to wherever we were going. I ran into her a few years back and she was so proud about talking about you and your children Linda (and all her grandchildren). My deepest sympathies are with you and your family. - Posted by: Jan (Favell) ((Childhood friend of Linda)) on: Feb 21, 2012

Hi Tanis, Linda, Debbie and Cindy: I am so saddened by the loss of your mom. She was such a kind and generous person....always cheerful and laughing...unless Tanis and I got into in trouble...which was RARE :) Your mom was like a second mom to me for many years. I have so many fond memories of her. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Vanessa (Mann) Ferro (longtime friend of Tanis) on: Feb 21, 2012

Hi girls, your mom was a very good friend to our mom and to us, we always lit up when she would come over to visit, she was always so positive and cheerful, that's one thing I will always remember about her. I also appreciated how she was always so friendly to us as youngsters and even when we got older, she was someone who really cared about others. - Posted by: Rick & Jocelyne Pelletier (Friend of family) on: Feb 19, 2012

My sincerest condolences to Tanis and Family. Your Mom was always fun to watch growing up and my favorite memory was when we all would pile into her Mustang & drive to Forbes Rd. Was much cooler in the Vette though! Keep Strong and always remember her with a smile. - Posted by: Krystal Maslow (Childhood friend of Tanis' ) on: Feb 19, 2012
