RICHARD FRANCES LEAVER With deep love and sadness we announce the death of Richard on February 20, 2012 at the age of 61. Richard will be missed and remembered always by his wife Marion Harrison, sons Alex and Graeme; siblings Jean, Mavis, Keith, their families and many loving friends and relatives. Richard was known and respected for his skilled work in carpentry and home renovation, a trade he learned while practicing social work. He had many interests but was most passionate for cars, music, and any sort of adventure. Most important to him in his life were his sons and he took great pride in their accomplishments and so appreciated the love they shared with him. He volunteered countless hours in supporting their interests most notably with Riverview Community Centre. An informal come and go gathering will be held on Friday, March 16, between 5:30 and 7:30 at the Qualico Family Centre (adjacent to the Duck Pond) in Assiniboine Park. Please feel free to email stories and memories of Richard to Alex at ahleaver@gmail.com. Donations in Richard's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
