JOHN (HUB) HUBERT PETERSON It is with uncontrollable grief the family announces the peaceful passing of John Hubert Peterson on February 23, 2012. Hub, as he was known by all, was the kindest, most thoughtful, giving man, one could ever have the opportunity of knowing. He always thought of others before himself. Hub's unbelievable dry sense of humor kept everyone smiling. You never knew what he would come up with next. Born in Treherne Manitoba, December 28, 1923 he attended school in Deloraine, Russell and Carman Manitoba. He joined the CIBC August 1941, then went on to join the RCAF in 1942. Once released from the RCAF in 1945 he went back to CIBC where he worked until 1982 when he retired. Some of Hub's greatest pleasures were golfing, fishing, and spending time with his friends at the Craft Club. He was predeceased by his parents John A. and Ila Peterson and sister Joanne Anderson. Hub has now joined his soul mate, Olive Isabel, grandson, Joseph and great-grandson, Ethan in a place of joy and love. Hub leaves behind to reflect his precious life, sons, Lorne and John M. (Jennifer), daughter Laura, grandchildren, John L. (Courtney), Angela, Amber, Crystal, Ginny (Tim), and Aaron. Also great-granddaughters, Mary and Izabel, great-grandson Davin, nieces and nephews. The family sends their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Emerson Personal Care Home for the love, caring and dignity they showed to Hub, always and especially at a time of his greatest need. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Dominion City United Church. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Ave. Rm ON 1160, R3E 0V9. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
