Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • My wife and I were married in September of 1963. I was a Postal Clerk and Cec was a front line Supervisor, and one of the best as I recall. I remember that Cec offered his cottage at White Lake in the Whiteshell for my bride Sonya and I to use for our honeymoon. We gratefully accepted his kind invitation and had a wonderful stay for a few days. When I saw the obituary, I said to Sonya, do you remember the fellow who offered his cottage to us when we were married, and she said yes, and how nice it was of him. It's been a very long time since I last saw Cec, but my memories of him are of a man with a warm and kind disposition. It was a pleasure to have had the chance to have met and worked with. My condolences to Lillian and family. Bob Olien, Winnipeg, Man. - Posted by: Robert Olien (co worker. Wpg. Post Office-1961 to 1972) on: Mar 10, 2012
