EMILY HASINOFF Our beloved mother Emily passed away at the age of 94 in Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her loving husband Earl (1981), daughter Shirley Nagy, son-in-law Robert Nagy, and daughter-in-law Cathy Hasinoff (Michael). Mom and dad were married in Winnipeg in 1939, and raised six children. Emily is survived by her sons: Michael, Lorne (Donna), Murray (Suzanne), Jim, and Ian (Susan). She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Second only to Emily's family as a source of joy was her garden, a labour of love that lasted a lifetime. The family is sincerely grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff of Concordia Hospital and by Dr. Cindy Pachal, physician and friend for many years. To Pat Patterson, Mom's dear friend and symphony buddy, and to our cousin Kathleen Gillis, our deepest appreciation for your love and support. At Emily's request, cremation has taken place and a private gathering of family and friends will follow. Remember Emily with a donation in her memory to a charity that cares for animals or children, by planting a garden, by recycling and supporting green projects, or by enjoying the Winnipeg Symphony.
