Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEO ALBERT LAMONTAGNE It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Leo on February 24, 2012 while travelling for work at Coral Harbour Nunavut. Leo was born on April 24, 1965, the youngest son of Roland and Rose-Marie Lamontagne. Leo is predeceased by his father Roland, brother Marcel and niece Jennifer Slagerman. Leo leaves to mourn his passing his Mother Rose-Marie, partner Kim, brothers Paul, George (Velma) and sister Paulette (Dale), as well as sister-in-law Janet, niece Charity, nephews Raymond (Michelle), Ryan (Deena), Stephen, Matthew, Brett, great-nephew William and great-niece Kaydence, many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. After leaving school, Leo worked with his father and uncles training and caring for Standard bred horses at Assiniboine Downs race track. After this time he attended Red River College where he took the heavy duty mechanics course and then went on to complete his apprenticeship and worked for Hino, Maxim and recently had started working with his brother-in-law Dale working in small communities all across the high arctic, repairing fuel trucks and was greatly received by everyone he met. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Ave., Friday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations if so desired can be made to Heart and Stroke or charity of choice.
