Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I knew Al and his mother from the 60,s, when I worked in Thunder Bay in the paving business. I remember when Al went down east to work in N.B. He was working for a paving co..that's if I recall where he met his beautiful wife Nellie. Al was a friendly and warm individual, who had a great sense of humor...we lost touch about the time he got married, but I'll never forget his smile and sense of humor....rest well..old friend - Posted by: ray knights (friend) on: Aug 27, 2012

  • Dear Nellie. We were so sorry to hear of Allen's passing... It is so ironic that Murray was just mentioning Allen about a week before we saw the announcement in the paper. We thought you folks were still in Wpg. Our sincere sympathy to you. Susan and Murray - Posted by: Murray & Susan Graham (Swimming Pool neighbours from Hunting Crt in Thunder Bay) on: Mar 05, 2012

  • Al and Nellie lived in Winnipeg and were once our neighbors. Once they moved we kept up our friendship. We were good friends. We had a lot of good times and fun times with them. We went through some sad times with them when they lost their son Marc. Al was a tough soul but a teddy bear at heart. He loved Nellie with all his heart and he loved to tease the heck out of her. Al loved his son and never got over his loss. He is free from his pain and has been reunited with his beloved son. Rest in Peace Al. You deserve it. May Our Lord watch over Nellie in her time of mourning and keep her surrounded by the love of family and friends. You shall remain in our hearts and prayers my dear friend as shall Nellie. Much love, Roz and Brian - Posted by: Rosiland and Brian Staple (Friends and old neighbors) on: Mar 02, 2012
