Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE MCCORMICK On Sunday, January 29, 2012, George died at the Grace Hospital at the age of 83 years. Left to forever cherish George's memory is his beloved wife Betty of 61 years of marriage; children Kim Neufeld (Cal), Bruce (Melodie), Kit (Kris), Joy Glennie (Gordon); 10 grand-children. He was predeceased by parents, Annie and George McCormick; brother Robert, and sisters Ellen and Ann. George was born May 15, 1928, in Winnipeg. He worked for 43 years at Moore Business Forms. He was a member of A.N.A.F. 283 and spent many happy hours there with friends. George was also a member of 500 Wing Air Force Association. One of his first interests was the CB radio and he formed a CB Radio Club. Many great summers were spent in the Whiteshell Trailer Parks at Otter Falls where he did lots of fishing. Together George and Betty did a lot of travelling after his retirement from Moores. On Thursday, March 8, 2012, a Celebration of George's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. in A.N.A.F. # 283, located at 3584 Portage Avenue. Donations in George's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 0S6.

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle George's passing...he will be missed. I remember times as a child playing with Joy in her bunk bed and Uncle George coming to tell us to settle down (as always smiling). Or times in the pool with the family.
