DAVID POHL Passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Lions Prairie Manor, Portage la Prairie at the age of 93 years. David Douglas Pohl was born December 16, 1918 to Albert and Antonia (Bowser) Pohl. He was born, raised, and schooled in the Bear Creek District, southwest of Gladstone. David farmed and did carpentry in the Gladstone area most of his life. He spent his retirement years in Neepawa and then in Portage. David was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (2010); his sisters Amelia Legg (1949) and Helen Dare (1974); his brothers Arthur (1919), Henry (1992), Albert (2007), and Vernon (2008). He is survived by his sister Margaret Radford on Neepawa; his daughter Miriam (Miki) and Ken Boleen of Abbotsford, BC; his three sons Gordon (Veronica) of Pinawa, MB, Dennis (Diane) of St. Adolphe, MB and Lewis (Donna) of Brookdale, MB; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Ash Interment will take place on, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at the Gladstone Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow from 3:30 5:30 at the Gladstone District Community Centre.
