SALVATORE (NINO) D'ALEO March 7, 1926 - February 25, 2012 Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in Kelowna, BC at the age of 85 years. Nino is survived by his loving wife Lina, of 56 years, his son Dario (Danette), daughter Lily (Lloyd), and grandchildren Danielle, Devon, Sara and Nick. Nino was born in Nicastro, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1950, settling in Winnipeg where he and Lina raised their children and where he enjoyed a successful business career. Nino was a voracious reader, and a great storyteller; he loved to fish and spent many hours on Florida beaches fishing the surf with his faithful pup Fritz. Nino's greatest passion was his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He and Lina eventually moved to the Kelowna area where he delighted in growing fruit trees. The funeral service was held in West Kelowna on February 28, 2012. We'll miss you Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kelowna General Hospital ICU.
