Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY FELIX ANDERS 1920 - 2012 Stanley Anders, also known as Stan, Dad, Grandpa, Poppy Anders and Brother Anders, passed away in the early morning of March 1, 2012 at the age of 91. Born to Felix and Teenie Yendrowich on July 3, 1920, Stan and his siblings William, Marie, John and Joseph spent their early years on a market garden south east of Winnipeg. Stan will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of over 65 years, Natalie (nee Powroznik), and by his children Darlene (Wallace) Hamm and Donald (Peggy) Anders, grandchildren Byron (Carrie) Hamm, Rachel (Brad) Wolbaum, and Matthew (Rachelle) and Jonathan (Amy) Anders, great-grandchildren Cassidy and Alexander Hamm and Bea Wolbaum, brother Joe Yendrowich, sisters-in-law Ann McLaughlin and Betty Nault, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hard-working and enterprising by nature, Stan provided for his family over the years working in the residential and commercial building industry for over 45 years until his retirement. His first construction jobs were quoted via bicycle. Stan's love for Jehovah God and the Bible's promise of a peaceful new world led him to dedicate his life to Jehovah and to be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on January 15, 1940. Stan firmly believed in the Bible's promises of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29) and the time when no resident will say: I am sick (Isaiah 33:24 NWT). His greatest joy came from sharing Bible truths like these with others. At the age of 18 he began preaching the good news of God's Kingdom on a full-time basis, traveling throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan, often by bicycle or on horseback to reach people. Stan's faith and zeal grew stronger over time, and in later years, he loved nothing better than reminiscing about his experiences and blessings in the full-time ministry. Stan left a rich spiritual heritage for his family, for which they are deeply grateful. The family would like to thank the fifth floor staff of the Seven Oaks General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion shown to Stan during his final days. As well, they are especially grateful for the love and support shown by the many friends. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Centre of Jehovah's Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Boulevard, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the worldwide work of Jehovah's Witnesses c/o any local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

I miss Stan's insightful comments and joyful outlook. I knew that if I ever felt down I could talk to Stan and his attitude would always make me feel better. I can't wait to see Stan again, in perfect health and the same joyful personality. - Posted by: Mike Wenesz (Friend) on: Mar 10, 2012

Hi Don, Peggy, Darlene and Wally, Your Dad was such a faithful servant of Jehovah and his faith in the resurrection so strong. He always had a special smile like his life was wonderful and with your mom and you children I know he did. My first memory of him was one spring Penny and you Darlene were pioneering. Outside the snow was still high and it was Cold. But Penny was up early and dressed waiting for you and your Dad to pick her up to go out to the Whiteshell/Brereton Lake to do unassigned for the day. I was very impressed first that he talked you girls into going and second at his strong desire to go in service no matter the weather. You had a great Dad and I know you are waiting until you see him again. Keep your faith strong and we all look forward to welcoming him back. Thoughts prayers and much love to all your family, Bob and Karen - Posted by: Karen and Bob Wilson (Friends) on: Mar 09, 2012

We will always remember Stan's zeal for the ministry, his courageous and often amusing experiences, but mostly his love for Jehovah and his deep faith in the Bible's promises. Stan often quoted Isaiah 35:6, and said that he is anxiously awaiting the time he too will "leap as the stag". Extra love and lots of hugs to Don and Peggy. - Posted by: Andy and Candace () on: Mar 07, 2012

The first thing that comes to mind when I remember Stan is his warm smile. He was a joyful person and so positive. His love for cats was of course what I appreciated the most when I first met him. But then I learned to appreciate his spiritual qualities and his wonderful sense of humour. With heartfelt sympathy and love to the family, especially Don and Peggy. - Posted by: Heidi and Steve Cadoret (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2012
