MYRON OREST KUBAY 1939 - 2012 Myron Kubay passed away with his family at his side at 72 years of age. Myron was the son of Katherine and Wasyl Kubay, immigrants from Ukraine who came to build a better life in Canada. They settled in the north end where Myron made lasting friendships and connections that he kept for the rest of his life. Myron believed in hard work, loyalty and most importantly, family and dedicated his life to these values. He worked for over 35 years at Winnipeg Hydro, retiring to help his son Joel form Mytec Industries, where he continued to work as a mentor and consultant. Myron also farmed for many years with his brother Gene. He loved supporting his children, especially watching their sports activities and enjoyed his winter holidays in warm places. His wife Kris, children Dawn (Brian Ridd), Ellen (Michael Pruden), Joel and grandchildren Andrew, Mark, Emma, Lauren and Abinet will always remember his quiet strength, generosity, willingness to work hard and smart, and dedication to family. A celebration of Myron's life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Friday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Myron's memory be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation. 586-8044

Have many fond High School memories and car pooling with Myron to the U.of Man. in his Morris Minor many years ago. A quiet unassuming good friend. - Posted by: John Mirus (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2012
