Bud, Lorraine and family It was great seeing the two of you the other day in Portage Place but was very sorry to hear about Doug. Please accept our condolences on your loss. My grandfather told me once that of all the difficult things he had to endure during his life time it was outliving his children that caused him the greatest pain. It is our hope that time will dull the ache you feel right now and allow you to focus on the memories you shared. - Posted by: Sharon Bain nee Murray (Friend of Family) on: Apr 08, 2012

I know Mom and Dad that our hearts are broken right now. I also know that we have to go on. I promise you that I will keep your dear son and my brother's memory alive. I will also try to follow in his footsteps which are hard to fill and do as much good in this world as I can. Doug was truly an amazing man and you both have done an incredible job raising such a fine man. I can just imagine him right now re-organizing heaven for us for when we meet him again. My prayers go out to all of those people who will be attending his memorial service in Calgary today with the Salvation Army. There will be many tears shed today. All I can say to comfort any of us during this time is that we have each other. I miss you terribly my brother. Rest in peace in heaven. I love you very much.
