GEORGE ROBERT CLEMENT
Born: Dec 04, 1948
Date of Passing: Mar 05, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE ROBERT CLEMENT December 4, 1948 - March 5, 2012 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of George. He will be tremendously missed by his wife Cathie, daughters Cyndi and Crystal, sons-in-law Ron and Jeff, and grandsons Kyler, Tavin and Gray. George was a good person and we had the privilege of calling him family. He has touched the lives of many who considered him their family as well - whether it was his children's friends as Pappa George, his neighbours, his coworkers or his wife's colleagues. There was never a person he met that he didn't build a relationship with. He will be forever cherished in our hearts, and will be watching over us all. A celebration of remembrance will take place Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue. Donations are welcome to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.

George and Cathie were two-in-a-million neighbours - We all enjoyed so many good parties - and especially good advice - George's workshop and energy and enthusiasm fulfilled many dreams Their garden was the epitome of their creativity and hard work - George never tired of chatting about what grew there and plans he had for the future - What a beautiful refuge in life. George will be so missed - across the country - but he's left a legacy to be remembered and honoured - Posted by: Anne Dowling (Neighbour and Friend and Rona Customer) on: Apr 10, 2012

How often you would welcome all those young people into your home when Edie and Cindy shared their birthdays with a sleepover! Edie always commented on how welcome you made everyone feel. Cathie, we know you will miss George a lot! Cindy, we can both remember when our dads died - it's not an easy time for anyone - we still miss them. In time, we hope that the memories you hold dear will be the ones that last. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you adjust to George's not being part of your life now. My deepest heart felt condolences to Cathie, Cyndi, Crystal and to son in laws (Ron and Jeff) and grandkids Kyler, Tavin and Gray. I am sorry I can not be with you today. When I had the privilege on living with your family for a few months, it was easy to observe what a kind, funny and honourable man George was. A dedicated husband and father always, driving to pick anyone up who needed a ride. George we will miss you, your lovely welcome when we invaded your house. - Posted by: Shauneen Clark-O'Doherty (family friend) on: Mar 10, 2012

What a sad way to re-connect, George. You were very kind to come to my dad's funeral many years ago - I regret that I can't be at yours today. Two fond memories: summers working with you, Greg and Wally at your dad's Shell service station; and that great road trip to the Rockies that you and I took in your car. I'll miss you. And Cathie, my condolences to you and your family. Gord - Posted by: Gordon Yanchyshyn (childhood friend and Best Man) on: Mar 10, 2012

Caramels, daily jokes, a good friend, a font of ideas, wisdom beyond his years and a man who loved his family more than life itself; these are the ways I will remember George. Sincere and heart felt condolences to Cathie, Cyndi, Crystal and the whole of your family. - Posted by: Jeff & Muriel Smith (Friend and Colleague) on: Mar 09, 2012

Georgie is a very good friend and co-worker. He always greeted everyone with a big happy smile every day. When I had to wait endless hours waiting for Doug to finish his shift I could always look forward to George stopping by Tims to say hello or if he had time he would sit and have coffee with me and tell me about his family. There will never be anyone like Georgie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. - Posted by: Douglas & Charlotte Kemp (Friend and colleague) on: Mar 09, 2012

It was a true pleasure to be able to work with George, I did not consider him just a co-worker but a good friend. He loved his family very much as he talked about them every time he could. When my son passed he said that I needed to make sure that I was taking care of myself. We are not just co-workers at Rona we are a family, and George's smile and personality will be greatly missed, and the saying HOW'S YOUR DAY GOING! - Posted by: Cheryl Huska (Co-worker) on: Mar 09, 2012
