Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDA NAOMI MORRY (nee KLIMAN) Peacefully, our darling wife, mother and grandmother, Freda Naomi Morry, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Simkin Centre. Freda Naomi will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 60 years, Manuel, children, Laurelyn Cantor (Paul), Susan, and Sheryl Nichols (Shawn), cherished grand-children, Daniel, Jared (Mia Jacobs), and Evan Cantor, and Shael, Farah, and Aleyah Nichols. She will be deeply missed by her sister Bernice Levine-Rissin (Joe), brother Mel (Eve), and sister Sharon Earn (Brian). Freda was predeceased by her parents, Sarah and Sam Kliman, and in-laws, Lily and Saul Morry. Born in Portage la Prairie on January 10, 1930, Freda Naomi grew up in Holland, Manitoba. At sixteen, she moved to Winnipeg to attend The Collegiate, and later worked at the Manitoba Legislative Buildings. One of her proudest accomplishments was working for the Canadian Shaarey Zedek Hospital Foundation. On June 24, 1951 Freda Naomi and Manuel were married at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue. Their love and commitment towards each other continued throughout their lives. Her wish was to grow old together . They enjoyed travelling, spending summers at Falcon Lake, attending the Manitoba Theatre Centre, the Winnipeg Symphony Pops concerts, and jazz concerts, especially, Diana Krall. In 2008, both Freda Naomi and Manuel moved to the third floor of the Weinberg Building at the Simkin Centre. We wish to express our eternal gratitude to Dr. A. Pacin, the nurses, health care attendants, and staff for their exceptional dedication, knowledge, and determination to offer the highest standard of treatment and care. Their compassion, expertise and devotion to our Mother has altered and enriched the course of our lives forever. She too, was also incredibly grateful. Funeral service was held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue. Pallbearers were Paul Cantor, Daniel Cantor, Jared Cantor, Evan Cantor, Jeff Morry, Allan Levine and John Myers. If so desired, donations can be made in Freda Naomi's memory to the Simkin Centre at (204) 589-9014. No words can say how much we will miss your beautiful smile. You are in our hearts.
