Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY KLASSER It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harvey Klasser born May 30, 1927. He was predeceased in 2008 by Annette, his wife of 57 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Rochelle and son-in-law Ian Laing and sons, Gary and daughter-in-law Anne and Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Brynna. He also leaves two adoring granddaughters Jessica and Mariah Klasser, his sister Rita and brother-in-law Sam Bebchuk, brother-in-law Abe Gamer and sister-in-law Mary and numerous nieces and nephews. Harvey was a good son to his parents, Jack and Anne Klasser, and survived an early bout of Scarlet Fever. In his late teens he met his true love, Annette, and was married in 1951. Harvey was always good in math and trained to be a bookkeeper right out of high school. This became his career, and he continued to work until 2010. In his early years, Harvey was a good bowler. In his middle years, he became a Mason with Menorah Lodge. In his later years, he was encouraged to travel with his wife and was able to see Israel, the USA including Hawaii and Alaska, Europe, and cruising the Caribbean. After several miraculous medical recoveries, he finally succumbed to heart failure on March 10, 2012. Since December of 2008, he has resided at the Shaftesbury Residence where everyone knew him and he made many new friends. A special thank you to his caregiver Jolita and friend Gail. He will be missed. Funeral service to be held Thursday, March 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Etz Chayim Synagogue. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
