Sam was born on December 20, 1960 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. He attended both St. Mary's and Cecelia Jeffery Residential Schools. Sam was a happy, loving and easy going man. He spoke highly and proudly of his boys. He was an awesome uncle to his nephews and nieces, having babysat a majority of them on numerous occasions. He loved the outdoors especially when he was younger taking to the woods to snare rabbits or hunt, one could always feel safe in his presence, for he took pride in his knowledge of his immediate surroundings. As a brother, relative or friend Sam was fiercely loyal to those close to him. Sam left us too early, we would have liked to see him shine again. But alas we accepted his departure and saw him off with very heavy hearts. So when we look at the bright, star filled nights we can say, Hey Sam, always nice to see you . And we will see you later Brother...
