I'm very sorry to read about George's passing. I knew him through his son Allan whom I went to school with. I have fond memories of belonging to the 18th Boy Scout Troop (St. Vital) which George led at the time. I also caught the shortwave listening bug from his passion for amateur radio. One special memory I have is when George spent considerable effort trying to fix the crystal radio set I had built for the 1970 Winnipeg Science Fair. My sincere condolences to his entire family. - Posted by: Don Burnett () on: Mar 18, 2012
