ANNIE ELLEN RAWN (KESTIRKE) (nee FRASER) 1919 - 2012 On March 15, 2012 at Swan Lake Hospital, our beloved family matriarch passed away at the age of 92 years, 11 months. Mom was born on April 15, 1919 to Annie Mildred Dunn and Hugh Fraser of Miami, Manitoba. She spent her entire life in the Miami area marrying Charlie Kestirke in 1937. Together they had nine children. Annie was predeceased by Charlie, her sons, Robert, Allan, Gary, daughters-in-law Geraldine and Beverley, grandchildren Robert and Paul. She leaves to mourn her son, Fred (Elaine), daughters, Janet (John Montgomery), Audrey Martin, Barbara (Jake Klassen), Pauline (Cornie) Thiessen, and Della (Gary) Burton; daughters-in-law, Mae Kestirke, Rose (Hugh) Morrow, Lesley Kestirke; her sister, Pearl Homick, sister-in-law, Ruth Haines, brother-in-law, Hank Hildebrandt, 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Mom married William Rawn in 1972. He and his son Alfred predeceased her. She leaves to mourn his children, William, Mary (Lloyd) Smith, Seth, Thomas, Doris (Keith) Myers, their children and grandchildren. Mom kept very busy with the family and often lamented on how proud she was of how we all turned out. Over the years she joined many groups where she made lifelong friends. These groups included: CGIT (as a young girl) Ag Society, Rebekah Lodge, Legion Ladies Auxiliary, U.C.W., Mt. Nebo School Board, Mt. Nebo Ladies, Friendship Centre, Co-op Board and the 500 Club. Mom enjoyed listening and dancing to Old Time Music and spent many Saturdays at the local dances. Mom's passion was having all her children home for a meal and a visit. The family would like to thank Dr. Desmond and the Nursing staff at Swan Lake Hospital for their loving care and attention. A graveside service will be held at Miami Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the Miami Community Centre on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 with Reverend Alison Halstead officiating.
